Hey everyone, 

The legendary 2RR is back for two weeks, Tuesday 6/9 (tommorrow) and Tuesday 6/16. This is a small, fun, and challenging practice race with no entry fee, no spectators, and no prizes. 

There are two routes - the "Mere Mortals" (about 12 miles) and the "Hitters" (about 17 miles). Both finish at the top of the Carmody Rd.

It's too much fun, even if you are like me and will get dropped on the first climb on the Mere Mortal course. Once I made the podium when only three people showed up (third place). I didn't have my PCC kit yet, unfortunately (see photo).

If you are unsure about joining, please remember the words of Jørgen Leth in the imitable documentary Stars and Watercarriers (1974): 

"The most beautiful and the most pathetic pictures in the sport of cycling deal with superhuman efforts in classical terrain."

Sounds llike fun, though, right?

Place: parking lot of Two Rock Union School at 5001 Spring Hill Rd.

Time: Meet at 6pm, roll at 6:30pm.
