Join us on our 3rd annual Petaluma-to-Truckee (P-to-T) ride. This year we will take 4 days to ride from Petaluma to Truckee in the Sierra Nevada.

Leaving Thursday morning, Oct. 1, we will ride through Santa Rosa to Chaulk Hill Road and then down HWY 128 to St. Helena where we will spend our first night.

On Friday, day two, we will ride over Hwy 128 past Lake Hennessey to Lake Berryessa and then on to Davis for our 2nd evening.

Saturday we will ride to Sacramento and past the state capitol to the American River Bike Path all the way to Folsom Lake. From there we head up Auburn/Folsom Rd. to Auburn to spend another night in a motel.

Sunday morning we depart at 8am and take frontage roads along I-80 to Dutch Flat. Here we shuttle in cars to Cisco Grove, where we continue are ride over Donner Summit to Truckee.

For those staying over Sunday night in Truckee, we will have a potluck dinner at Michael and Judy's home in Tahoe Donner.

This ride requires that you are in good physical condition and can ride 70 miles and 5,000 vertical feet in one day. You should be riding 50-75 mile trips during the summer.

We will divide into several groups based on riding ability and we will have at least one sag wagon for all four days.

The estimated cost for the ride is $60 paid to PWCC prior to the ride (for sag and shuttle cars) plus an estimated $450 for three nights lodging and meals. You will need to make your own reservations. The club will reserve a block of rooms for our overnight stays in St. Helena, Davis and Auburn. If you plan on staying over in Truckee on Sunday, you will also need to make reservations for Truckee.

We will be seeking volunteers who can drive and/or sag for the trip. Since this is a one-way trip, we need enough cars with a driver to bring the riders and bikes home. If you have a spouse or friend who would like to take the trip to Truckee and be a shuttle driver, you can indicate so on the registration form.
