Great, thanks Dave!  (Saved me a ride detour today). So we’ll stick to the original route as planned!

I am also thinking about organizing a regular “social” ride every two or three months, which I’ll name as “Pre-game Petalumans”, where those who rsvp and email me (sarmientomike@gmail.com) by Friday night 1 am (technically Sat) their respective coffee order from the following menu can meet at my house, drink coffee together, then head to Riverside Cafe to meet rest of the group.  We’ll start with tomorrow as the inaugural Pre-game Petalumans group ride.  If interested, email me:

    • Name
    • Coffee Order:
      • Espresso
      • Cappucino
      • Latte
      • Americano
    • Single, Double or Triple shot
    • Regular Milk or Oat Milk
    • Sugar or none
I have an espresso machine that can make any of the above. If you rsvp for coffee, please arrive 9:00-9:15am at my house tomorrow morning and we’ll have coffee together then head to RS cafe at 9:45 am for the 10 am ride start. I will email you my address when you rsvp with your coffee order.

    Will see everyone tomorrow morning!

I checked it out today. Just a couple of trickles, eminently rideable.

I rode it Monday, no water, some mud. But then another storm came Monday night. I’ll ride it on Fri, but suspect it will be clear of water, and have some mud unless it’s been cleared. We can also take D St to Novato and back instead if there’s a lot of mud still.

Is the underpass clear? No water or mud?

    • Finally, a Saturday without rain forecasted - let's enjoy each other's company and see one another again!
    • All welcome, and we can have two groups:  A pace (9-10 mph avg) and A|B pace (11-13 mph avg)
    • Easy hills (811 ft elev gain)
    • Regroup as needed, we'll start and take a break together at Creekside Bakery in Novato for a coffee, snack, restroom and water bottle refill break.
    • 31.7 miles ~2h30m to 3h5m riding time depending if riding with the A|B or A pace group, plus break time at Creekside Bakery.  I'm happy to lead either the A pace or A|B pace group, and will need a volunteer for someone to "lead" the other group (i.e. have a computer with GPS to stay on the route)  Please e-mail or text me to help with that if you are interested.
    • Given daylight savings time and cooler temps, we'll have a slightly later start. Please arrive ready to roll by 9:50 am at River Front Cafe / B St & 2nd. We will leave PROMPTLY at 10:00 am

Ride With GPS Route Maphttps://ridewithgps.com/trips/115482853 (see attached Cue Sheet with Route Map, but ignore the start/end at 8th St and D St, we will instead start/end at River Front Cafe at 2nd and B St using the RWGPS route in the link)

Description: A nice beginner to intermediate ride from Riverside Cafe to Creekside Bakery in Novato.

E-mail me for any questions - Mike Sarmiento
